SIKWINDI S. SITULA is President Hakainde Hichilema's first Presidential Campaign Strategist (2007‐2011) and UPND's Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs who also serves as Deputy Media Director, UPND. Apart from being a governance expert and civil and political activist of many years, Sikwindi is also Managing Editor of The Barotse Times Newspaper, and Former Chairman of Bensizwe in Zambia. He is also owner of Easi Preps.
Sikwindi was ordained as a deacon in the New Apostolic Church on August 31, 2014. His intertwine of incisive analysis, research and independent thought allows him to assess the confluence, divisions and wider intersections of religious ideas, beliefs and doctrinal positions. His privileged position in politics and civil activism all influence and add to the irresistible design, content and flow of the first book he authored, FALL OF THE CHURCH FROM GRACE.
Sikwindi's wide participation in politics affords him a rare insight into Hakainde Hichilema's peculiar story—interrogating the whys and wherefores thereby examining the successes and failures in order to side-step pitfalls over a delicate balance between logic and the unquenched curiosity to escape the entrapments of extreme ethnic political divides under the teeth of economic stagnation. For this reason, Sikwindi's current book writing projects (BEHIND BARKING DOGS and SONGS OF SIKWINDI) capture his depth in not only Zambia's political landscape, but represent a thoughtful process of geopolitics as it must inform the solutions we craft.
An incisive analysis examining the confluence, divisions and wider intersections of religious ideas, beliefs and doctrinal positions through the lens of political and civil activism.
